Thanksgiving feast & good eats

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay on this post, I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Last weekend I was super busy. I went for dinner and karaoke with my boyfriend on Saturday, then on Sunday I visited the night market with my friends because it's closing down soon. I also celebrated Thanksgiving at a family friend's house today! We had a huuuuuge feast and I'm still stuffed from it haha.

Also a bit of warning if you haven't gathered this from the title, there will be a LOT of food porn in this post!
This year's been pretty tough, although I catch myself saying that every year lol, but I'm very glad and thankful for all the wonderful people in my life. Everyone has had their moments but in the end, the memories we made and lessons we learned were well worth the tears!
The beautiful turkey!

Here's my makeup and outfit for the night. I tried out Stella Lee's tutorial and I loved the way my makeup turned out! I'm really excited to see her future tutorials~

And that's about it for my weekend. I'm still recovering from the food comas haha. Also Koji had his surgery and he's been recovering very nicely! He's been so upset with his cone, my heart just melts when I see his little face >o<;;
Thanks for all your best wishes! Koji should be back to his usual self in about a week or so <3
That about wraps up this post. Tomorrow I'll be going to dinner with Catherine to celebrate her birthday as well as meeting another local gal! I'm also going to do a review on the e.l.f foundation I got recently so please look forward to that ^__^

Seafood Birthday Bash & New Lens Sponsorship

Hello everyone~ How are you? Last weekend I went out to celebrate my friend Aspen's 21st birthday. We went to a restaurant called The Sandbar in Granville Island and then went to karaoke after. It was a small party with only 10 people but we had a lot of fun and the food was absolutely amazing!
We all ordered for ourselves but my friend Branden ordered lots of appetizers and a tower of seafood to share. Lots of them were very yummy but I didn't get a chance to take a picture because we were all so hungry~
Super yummy fish tacos! Sorry for the crappy
picture on this one, it was super dark and
I didn't have flash on >__<;;
My seared scallops
Seafood tower!
After dinner some of our friends left to go home. It was only 9PM so those of us who stayed decided to go out because it was so early still. We initially thought of going to a club but we couldn't decide so we ended up going to karaoke because it was cheaper.

At karaoke!
Here was my outfit and makeup for the night. I wore my new flower dress and fuzzy cardigan ^__^
Cardigan: Urban Planet/Dress: Forever21/Shoes: Offbrand
For my makeup I tried to use those tricky lower lashes of mine again. This time instead of darkening my lower lash line too much, I kept it fairly light and stuck the lashes on very close to my lash line. I think it looks better this time because last time they looked way too long!
Also I have some exciting news! Maple Lens has kindly agreed to sponsor me a pair of lenses ^__^ You may have noticed that I've added their banner to my site. I've heard many good things about their company so please if you have the time, make sure to check them out! I asked them to send me a pair of green lenses because I have yet to try a green lens so I'm really excited for them to come in the mail. I won't say which pair just yet so you'll have to wait and see~

That's all for this post, thank you so much for reading! I'll talk to you again soon, bye bye~

Catchup and OOTD #11

Hello everyone! I'm sorry it's been so long since my last post. I've been meaning to update more, especially since I am on my semester break but a lot has happened over the last week and it's been really rough. My mom was admitted to the hospital about a week and a half ago and I've been taking care of her since then. She hurt her back and the doctors told her that she had some Osteoarthritis going on and that she'd need physiotherapy to cope with it. Sadly that's all the treatment she can get, along with painkillers to help her condition. But anyways, she's home now and she's been resting and feeling a lot better so we're all very relieved!
Today my boyfriend and I met up with one of my best friends, Jennie, for dinner. I haven't seen her in a very long time so it was nice to catch up and just unwind with her. We went to my favorite place, Sushi Nanaimo! I honestly can't get over how perfect that restaurant is. I could eat there every day! >o<;;

and Nanaimo roll (right)~
We chatted for a bit and after dinner, we drove Jennie home. We ended up going to my friend Branden's house for a bit since it was a bit too early to go home. The boys played some GTA V and I decided to finish up Game of Thrones (WHICH IS AMAZING IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT). I can't wait for the next season to start!
Here was the outfit I wore today. I bought this new fuzzy cardigan yesterday after work. I first saw these at work and became totally obsessed, but I didn't want to pay $40 for it so I hunted around for a cheaper alternative. I snagged this baby up for only $25 at Urban Planet! Just goes to show a little patience and searching can really save you some money.
Sorry for the dirty mirror!
Cardigan: Urban Planet/Leggings: AFW/Shoes: Just Fab/
T-Shirt: Offbrand/Bag&Necklace: Forever21
It's totally been a while since I dolled up so I did some extra camho-ing. I do apologize for the incoming face spam.
I was also able to find a vet for Koji (thanks to Crystal for the suggestion) and he'll be going in for a preliminary exam tomorrow. His actual operation will be sometime next month probably because they're absolutely booked solid.

Catherine and I also got some inquiries about our gal sa recently. It seems we might have some new members joining us soon but we'll have to wait and see until after we meet them to decide! Both of us are thrilled to see our little project finally start to grow ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ
Tomorrow I'll be going to my friend Aspen's birthday party. I'll be seeing a lot of old friends so I'm very excited. I'll be blogging about it later so please look forward to that ^___^ Anyways that's all for now! Thanks for sticking around until the very end.
