The Liebster Award

こんにちはみなさん~  げんきですか。(Hello everyone, how are you?) I'm so glad to be back in Japanese class! I hope you're all adjusting well to school/work. Today I'm doing a post on the Liebster Award, which is given to upcoming bloggers with less than 200 followers. I was tagged by a sweet reader of mine (Maxime) a while ago; you can read her post here~
The Rules

1. Each person must post 11 things about themselves.
2. Answer the questions the tagger has set for you, plus create 11 questions for the people you've tagged to answer.
3. Choose 11 people and link them in your post.
4. Go to their page and tell them.
5. No tag backs!
My Answers

1. Who is your No.1 favorite blogger?
Ooh this one's tough. I have quite a long list of bloggers I really like. If I had to choose just one.... it would be Anji's blog. I just love her style! I think she's a perfect gyaru~ I wish she blogged more often though. You can check out more blogs I like in the sidebar to your right!

2. A world without chocolate or a world without ice cream?
Ahh this one's tough too. A world without.... chocolate! >__<;;

3. What is your dream vacation?
My dream vacation would be to travel all over the world with my boyfriend and friends! I'd love to visit Japan, New York, London, Paris, etc.

4. What anime/manga character do you feel related to the most?
I don't really know about this one. I don't watch a lot of animes with "relatable" characters... (too much ecchi/harem/reverseharem? lol) I'd say I'm maybe sort of like Louise from Zero no Tsukaima...? Tough on the outside but a big baby on the inside >3>;;

5. Do you have a certain 'quote' you use often? If so, what?
YOLO. I'm just kidding. I would die before I made that my catchphrase. I don't really use quotes although I do say "but um", "uh", "like" and "oh" a lot if that kind of counts as a substitute for quotes haha. (I could be wrong, I might say something a lot but I don't recall right now)

6. Who is your No. 1 idol/(style)icon?
My absolute #1 idol has to be Rina Sakurai/Sakurina. I think she's absolutely stunning and can pull off all different styles/looks.
7. What is your skin care routine?
I'll be making a more in depth post on this later, but my daily cleanser is the Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser. I like to use this with a facial scrublet. My toner is the Bodyshop's Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner. For moisturizers, my day moisturizer is the Olay Complete All-Day Moisturizer with UV protection. My night moisturizer is the Sephora Instant Moisturizer. For exfoliating I like to use Biore's Pore Unclogging Scrub and Skinfood's Rice Mask Wash-Off. I think that's about it... When I'm in the shower I like to use Biore's Steam Activated Cleanser.

8. Is there a sport you ever want to try? If so, why?
I'm not really a sports person, but I've always wanted to try surfing or snowboarding cause it looks really fun!

9. What is the cutest thing ever?
Cupcake, my baby bunny. RIP.

10. Your favorite make-up brand?
Damn these questions are tough! I love too many brands to pick just one. I'll pick two, one western brand and one asian brand. For the asian brand I like Canmake a lot and for the western brand I like Too Faced.

11. Your favorite non-ebay webshop?
Asia Fashion Wholesale or Rakuten!
Phew! Finished~ That was really fun! (⌒▽⌒) Now to tag 11 bloggers of my choice! *insertdrumrollhere*
Tag, you're it! All of you lovely bloggers can now make your own post answering the following 11 questions~
  1. Which of your features are you most proud of and why? (ex: hair, eyes, etc)
  2. What style would you love to wear but never thought you could pull off?
  3. Why did you start blogging and what motivates you to continue posting?
  4. If you could have any super power, what would you want?
  5. What makeup product can you not live without?
  6. Your biggest fear?
  7. Best way to kill time when you're by yourself waiting for someone/something?
  8. Where do you want to be in life in 10 years?
  9. One item, in your opinion, that could completely ruin a perfectly good outfit? (ex: belts, scarves, etc)
  10. What's your favorite makeup remover?
  11. Do you have any secret talents? If not, any you wish you had?
Those are all the questions I have for you! Thank you, Maxime, for tagging me in this. I really had a lot of fun and I look forward to reading up on everyone's answers! Until next time~

♒ H20+ Skincare Brand Review ♒

Hello everyone! I hope you're doing well. Today I'm going to give you a brief introduction/review to the skincare brand known as H20+. I'd first like to mention that this is not a sponsored post in any way at all. I wanted to make a post on this brand because it really helped my skin in the past, maybe it could help you too! I'm not going to do a huge in-depth review on the products because that would make this post wayyyyyy too long. If you want to know more about any of them, please feel free to ask me! (。◕‿‿◕。)

Before I jump into the products I wanted to fill you in with some background information on my skin. I have oily/dry/combination skin that's quite sensitive and a teensy bit of rosacea on my cheeks as well. For the longest time I didn't have a skincare regime. I suffer from acne and at one point I had skin so dry it would peel on its own (ew, I know). H20+ was one of the very first brands I ever tried out when I first started getting into this sort of thing. It helped clear up my skin and made it look/feel healthier than ever before.

Fair warning: this is going to be a pretty long post, BUT I'll be using these nifty dividers to help split up the text so it's not like a chunky-ass brick wall

Let's get started then!
The products I'm going to list all the products I'll be talking about, but first I have to mention that they have repackaged and renamed some of their products since the last time I purchased them. The updated names will be listed in brackets.
  • Eye Oasis Moisture Replenishing Gel (now called  Eye Oasis Moisture Replenishing Treatment)
  • Face Oasis Hydrating Gel (now called Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment)
  • Oasis24 Hydrating Booster
  • Face Oasis Cleansing Water
  • Face Oasis Dual-Action Exfoliating Cleanser
Just a small note: I've only ever purchased the exfoliating cleanser (and then repurchased the cleansing water) in a full size product. The rest of the items I got a really good deal from purchasing the "special sets" that look like this:
Picture from Glamour.com
Unfortunately after the whole repackaging thing they did, you can't get this exact set anymore. The new set they offer in this Face Oasis line replaces the water cleanser (very left product) with a product called Oasis Mist. Still worth buying imho because the hydrating gel itself is quite pricey. If I remember correctly, at the time of my purchase, the set was nearly the same price as just purchasing the moisturizer on its own (just for your reference sake, I don't really remember exact prices sorry!).
Eye Oasis Moisture Replenishing Treatment
This product claims to be "A fast-absorbing, oil-free intensive hydrating treatment formulated to target the delicate eye area with phopholipids, multivitamin complex and moisturizing marine botanicals.

The tube is quite small, maybe the size of a nail polish bottle. (I usually judge the amount of product I use by the size of the container it comes in). A little goes a long way with this product! It works to plump up my under-eye area and it makes it look well rested. Although this is a very good product, I don't find myself using this much as I am still young. My under-eye area doesn't need that much care at the moment so I didn't repurchase this.
Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment
This product claims t that it is an "oil-free moisture gel" that "delivers deep hydration while minimizing the appearance of fine lines with phospholipids, multivitamin complex and moisturizing marine botanicals."

This product is the main reason I got into this brand in the first place. I received a sample of this long ago and it made my skin feel phenomenal. It moisturizes so well and leaves your skin looking and feeling young, supple, and healthy in the morning. The jar is a bit small but this product spreads very well because it is a gel. It sort of lingers on your skin for a bit before it gets absorbed. If you are suffering from dry skin you HAVE to check this product out. This is my most recommended item out of all the products I will talk about in this post.

I wouldn't really use this as a day moisturizer, just because it's so hydrating. It may come off looking "oily" so instead I just used this at night.
Oasis24 Hydrating Booster
This product claims to be "A nutrient-intensive, oil-free moisture supplement for depleted skin with omega plankton, moisturizing marine botanicals and Sea Mineral Complex"

This is probably my second favorite product out of all of the ones I've tried. I've never used a serum or anything like that before so this was a new experience for me; I almost didn't know what to expect. I would use 1-2 pumps of this and pat it all over my face/neck. This product really made a difference in the way my skin absorbed the hydrating gel at night. I felt like this really gave the gel more "oomph"!
Face Oasis Cleansing Water
This product claims to be a "water-light cleanser gently washes away impurities while replenishing vital moisture with provitamin B, moisturizing marine botanicals and Sea Mineral Complex"

This really does feel like water on your face but it lathers up beautifully into a light foam almost. It removes all my makeup and just does a great job being an effective yet gentle cleanser. The bottle is huge for this product but you don't need a lot to get the job done since it lathers up quite a bit.
Face Oasis Dual-Action Exfoliating Cleanser
This product claims to "Deeply cleanse and revitalize skin with this gently refining, oil-free formula with natural fruit enzymes, jojoba beads, and moisturizing marine botanicals"

I picked this up in the full size because it didn't come with the little set they had. I needed an exfoliator and this one was recommended to me by the staff. I do like this product; it does its job well. However it didn't impress me enough for a repurchase. If you want a decent exfoliator, this one will do just fine. I just decided once a week exfoliators like the rice mask one from Skin Food was a better fit for me.
Overall, I think this brand is worth the investment. The products perform beautifully both together and independently. They have the power to soothe and improve troubled skin but remain gentle enough for those with sensitive skin like me.

They don't have many stores but you can order from their website. The prices are quite reasonable for skincare items and the results are just spectacular. I would consider this brand a mid-high end brand. It's not as expensive as brands like Lancome, but it's not super cheap like L'Oreal or Biore.
That's all for this post. I hope you found it helpful and informative! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask me, I'll try my best to help you out. Have a wonderful day~ >‿‿◕

♬ End of August Collective Haul + Back to School ♪

Hello everyone~ I'm sorry for the lack of posts... again. I've been pretty busy these last few weeks. A few friends/family friends came to visit so I've been spending time with them. I've also been playing Guild Wars 2, which you can read about on my other blog.

I just wanted to share with you some things I picked up near the end of August~ Also I was browsing tumblr and found some cute pixels to make new watermarks with! I don't own the images, you can find the images by searching the "pixel" tag.
I got these shoes from Ardene. They were 2 for $10 and I've been really wanting some sandals lately. My flats are getting really worn so I've been looking around to get some flat shoes. They're not bad at all! Although they're kind of scratchy in the back where the zipper is so I have to wear them with jeans >__<;;
I got these two dresses from a girl on gyaru sales facebook group. The first dress is MA*RS and the second is Liz Lisa~ They came in perfect condition and I love them both so much!
I went shopping with my mom and she got me this cute NYX lipstick in strawberry milk. It's a very pretty nude pink and it goes with any look! ^__^
Lastly I got 2 new cleansers, they were on sale so I had to pick them up. I've tried the steam activated cleanser before in a sample and I loved it, the combo skin balancing cleanser is just something I've always wanted to try. So far they've been working pretty well. I'll do a more in depth review when I have used them for much longer (it's only been about a week!)
That wraps up this post. Again I'm sorry I haven't been that active. I think most of you thought I fell off the face of the earth... (⇀‸↼‶) I'll be starting school on Tuesday but I hope to be more active again.

Anyways, I'm going to start writing my next few posts which will let you know what I've been up to. Also upcoming is a very important post I think each and every gyaru should read about. Stay tuned!
