░ Skin79 The Oriental Gold BB Cream Plus Review ░

I see you're back again! Look at me typing up a storm for you. 3 reviews in one night? I think I deserve some ice cream after this.

Once again:
▲ All opinions/thoughts stated are my own and 100% completely honest.
▲ Unless otherwise specified, all products were purchased with my own money.
▲ If a product works/doesn't work for me, it doesn't mean it will/won't work for you. Again this is simply a review based on my own personal experience.
▲ I don't own one of those fancy high definition cameras, so please don't hate on the quality of my pictures. If it bothers you that much, you can volunteer to buy me a new camera. I'd love you forever

NO TIME TO SPARE, SCROLL!

The last BB cream I have to review is the Skin79 Oriental Gold BB Cream Plus. On the back it says:

SPF 30 PA++
KFDA 3 Function Certification;
Whitening/Wrinkle Improvement/UV Interception SPF30 PA++

The triple function BB Cream keeps skin shining and lifting through whitening and wrinkle care effect, making uneven skin tone and skin texture clean with rich feel of hydration softly cohering to skin and protecting skin from UV rays.

The English on the back of these BB creams is driving me insane LOL. Swatch time! (hairy arm strikes again) :

I also got this from Doll Eyes, but they sent me the wrong BB cream. I actually wanted the original version of the oriental gold, this plus version has a different color cheek/lip tint (⇀‸↼‶)

Color/Pigmentation: ♥♥♥
The color of this BB cream is more on the peachy side, which is nice when I'm suffering from breakouts and rosiness.

Coverage:
This BB cream offers heavy coverage. Out of all 3 BB creams, this one is most similar to foundation in my opinion. I typically reach for this when I'm having a bad skin day and I need the extra coverage ( ̄д ̄〃);;

Texture: ♥♥♥♥
Just like the other 2 BB creams, this one also has a nice smooth and creamy consistency. It's almost a mix between the moisturizer-like feel of the Dream Girls BB cream and the dewiness of the Hot Pink BB cream.

Overall:♥♥♥
While I do like the coverage this BB cream offers, there's a huge point that puts me off completely. It reeks of a rose scent. That might not bother some people but for me a distinct scent is extremely unattractive in a product. It reminds me a lot of L'Oreal products in that sense (which I also am not too fond of because of the rose scent). On the plus side, I do like the lip and cheek tint but I don't use it too much because I'm not a fan of blushes that aren't made of powder. Also the shade is not as orange as it looks like in the picture, it's more of a rosy tomato-y pink.

Dun dun dun! If you've made it this far, then it means one thing, it's time for compare and contrast~ Here's all 3 swatches side by side so you can see the color difference.

Out of all 3 of the BB creams I'd rank them like this (in order of preference):
  1. Dream Girls BB Cream
  2. Hot Pink BB Cream
  3. The Oriental Gold Plus BB Cream
Best coverage:
  1. The Oriental Gold Plus BB Cream
  2. Hot Pink BB Cream
  3. Dream Girls BB Cream
Best texture:
  1. Dream Girls BB Cream
  2. Hot Pink BB Cream
  3. The Oriental Gold Plus BB Cream
Best color:
  1. The Oriental Gold Plus BB Cream
  2. Dream Girls BB Cream
  3. Hot Pink BB Cream
As for availability and price, they're all available on the Skin79 website or sites like Pretty and Cute. The prices I've seen range around $15 ~ $20 or so? You can also check your local mall and of course local facebook groups that carry BB creams in stock!

That concludes my 3 part BB cream review~ Thanks so much for reading! I hope you found these reviews helpful. If there's anything you'd like to see from me, don't be shy! Let me know in the comments or ask me on my twitter/tumblr. Bye for now!

✾ Skin79 Dream Girls BB Cream Review ✾

Haiiiii! Welcome to my 2nd BB cream review. You know, in the middle of writing this, I had the most genius idea that I'm about to put into action right now: I'm adding a "Reviews" page to the navigation bar under my header for easy access. Yay for organization!

You know the drill~ Boring things to say so I don't get in trouble later:
▲ All opinions/thoughts stated are my own and 100% completely honest.
▲ Unless otherwise specified, all products were purchased with my own money.
▲ If a product works/doesn't work for me, it doesn't mean it will/won't work for you. Again this is simply a review based on my own personal experience.
▲ I don't own one of those fancy high definition cameras, so please don't hate on the quality of my pictures. If it bothers you that much, you can volunteer to buy me a new camera. I'd love you forever

ONWARDS, TO THE REVIEW!

Next up on the review list is the Skin79 Dream Girls BB Cream. On the back it says:

SPF 30 PA++
[KFDA Function Certification]

This is the multi functional beblesh balm for juniors. It evens out the skin tone, makes the skin look more beautiful and conceals skin flaws and trouble areas. And it has double ultraviolet rays blocking effect. It is not oily because of the O/W shape and you can feel refresh feeling when you apply it.

I have no idea what the O/W shape thing they're talking about is, but it does feel really refreshing on application. Anyways here's the swatch (again, don't hate on my hairy arm k?) :

I bought this from a facebook group called Doll Eyes, they were having a sale on Skin79 products so I figured "ehh why not" ( ̄□ ̄;)

Color/Pigmentation: ♥♥♥
Out of all the BB creams I own I think this one matches my skin the best. As you can see in the swatch, it has a really light gray tint but when oxidized (see the very bottom of the swatch), you can barely notice the tint. Please note that I didn't blend the swatches at all so don't freak at the extremely concentrated levels of BB cream!

Coverage:
This BB cream offers very light coverage, similar to that of a tinted moisturizer. On days where I have really good skin (no breakouts or anything to cover) a little concealer and some of this BB cream will give me all the coverage I need. This is also good for hot days when I don't want to feel like I'm wearing a full face of makeup ( ̄д ̄〃);;

Texture: ♥♥♥♥
Okay seriously, this BB cream feels phenomenal on my skin. It goes on like a moisturizer and feels so hydrating I often forget this is makeup and not my moisturizer lol. Like it says on the back of the bottle it's very refreshing. This BB cream is ultra light and almost feels like you have nothing on your face at all. Again you are left with dewy skin so don't forget to powder up!

Overall:♥♥♥♥
This is still my all time favorite BB cream of the 3 that I have. The fact that this is aimed towards teens with troubled skin really caught my attention. I have breakouts here and there and I find that this cream really minimizes them (after using this BB cream I break out a lot less). I have no real complaints about this BB cream and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try a BB cream but may be hesitant because of their sensitive skin. If you're looking for something with light coverage, some SPF, blemish control, and hydration then I highly suggest you give this BB cream some thought!

❈ Skin79 Hot Pink Super+ BB Cream Review ❈

Hello everyone! Thank you to those who voted in my poll, it was very informative for me. If you haven't voted, please do! It helps me keep this blog going when I have nothing interesting to post about lol. As per popular request, I'm uploading 3 product review posts right now. Specifically, they're going to be BB cream reviews.

First off, just some housekeeping I have to get out of the way (because I don't want to deal with any issues that might occur if I don't state this right at the get-go):
▲ All opinions/thoughts stated are my own and 100% completely honest.
▲ Unless otherwise specified, all products were purchased with my own money.
▲ If a product works/doesn't work for me, it doesn't mean it will/won't work for you. Again this is simply a review based on my own personal experience.
▲ I don't own one of those fancy high definition cameras, so please don't hate on the quality of my pictures. If it bothers you that much, you can volunteer to buy me a new camera. I'd love you forever

Okay! Now that the boring stuff is out of the way, on to the review!

As the title says, I'm going to review is my Skin 79 Hot Pink Super+ BB Cream. On the back of the bottle it says:
Whitening / Wrinkles improvement
Ultraviolet rays interception SPF25 PA++
KFDA 3 functions certification

Here's my swatch (don't hate on my hairy arm k?) :

This was my very first BB cream ever. I got it when I went on my trip to Hong Kong. It was sold for quite cheap there so I picked up 3 bottles at around $9.80 each, which is a steal because they run about $20+ here in Vancouver from what I've seen (´Д`)

Color/Pigmentation: ♥♥♥♥♡
The color for this BB cream is great. For those of you who don't know, most BB creams oxidize to "match" your skin color. The trick is that these creams tend to have a colored undertone. This cream for example, has a grayish undertone. Some BB creams come in pink, yellow or even olive undertones. It's just a matter of finding one that works for you. The reason I gave this cream only 4/5 was because of the grayish tint that can sometimes make me look washed out. Other than that I have no real complaints.

Coverage:
I would say the coverage this BB cream offers is around medium. It's not quite as heavy as a full coverage foundation, but it definitely offers more coverage than a tinted moisturizer. On a good day I can probably just slap this on with some powder to set it and I'm good to go.

Texture: ♥♥♥♥
I love the way this BB cream feels. It goes on super smooth and blends really well with my skin. This leaves my skin feeling well hydrated and very dewy. It's a good idea to set this with a powder, otherwise it won't stay put.

Overall:♥♥♥♥♡
This is still my go-to BB cream. I don't use foundation anymore since I discovered BB creams because my skin is fairly clear, I don't really have a need for heavy foundations. I feel like my skin can actually breathe with this on and it actually looks and feels like skin (not cakey at all). My skin can be on the sensitive side but I can say with full confidence that this did not break me out in any way. I don't notice the wrinkle improvement much for obvious reasons. As for the whitening I think it definitely works. I'm a much lighter shade now than I was before I started using this on a daily basis and I can see some of the dark spots on my face lightening as well. The SPF is always nice. Also I noticed that when I use BB cream vs days I don't or days I use foundation, I have much clearer skin after cleansing \(・∀・*) !!

That wraps up this review! I hope you found it helpful. Stay tuned for the other 2 reviews coming later tonight >‿‿◕

♚ Liz Lisa Replicas & What's Next ♚

Hello lovelies! As you can tell from the title, I picked up some goodies today from Viki. She was selling some things on the Gyaru Sales page on Facebook.

The first thing I got from her was this replica Liz Lisa poncho:

It's really soft and warm and I love the print! I can't wait to wear this, hopefully it will stop raining within these next few days.

The next thing I got from her was this replica Liz Lisa dress:

It looks similar to a dress I already have but this one fits A LOT better (particularly the bust area .__.) and is a lot less sheer. I might wear this on Sunday with my brown Liz Lisa replica boots, if I do there shall be pics 。◕‿‿◕。

The last thing I wanted to mention was about the poll at the top of my blog. I've noticed that there have been a few votes for review posts, so in response to that I'm going to be uploading all about BB creams post next. It will mostly be about the 3 I've ever used which includes and an in depth view on each one, swatches and a comparison between the 3.

I can also do a lot of drugstore makeup related posts for those of you interested in affordable makeup that works. I've bought and tried a lot of different mascaras/lipsticks/etc, so please let me know if you're interested at all.

As for collection/tour posts I was thinking of showing you guys my perfume/fragrance collection and my nail polish stash but it doesn't look like anyone is as interested in this as the other categories (^_^;)

Anyways that's all I wanted to share with you today! Stay tuned for more~

▼Rediscovered My Camera▲

Hello everyone! How is your week going? I just finished my accounting midterm today, and boy was that stressful( ゚ Д゚)I'm just glad that it's done now and I can finally relax!

I was cleaning my room two days ago and I was super excited because I rediscovered my camera! I haven't seen that thing for months I thought I had misplaced it in a purse somewhere under my bed. Turns out it was just on top of one of my dressers!

It's a pretty old camera (got it like, 4-5 years ago) so the quality of the pictures is not fantastic, but it's much better than my itouch's camera (which I have been using ever since I got it). Before I got my itouch, I had to rely on my Blackberry's camera.

But anyways, this is what my camera looks like (photo not mine):
I'm thinking of deco-ing it out when I have the time, but first I have to buy more rhinestones and gems because the ones I have are just too small.

I did camwhore a bit (I'm pretty sure that's a given) so I'll just dump those snaps here. For those interested, I'm wearing the GEO Princess Mimi lenses in Sesame Grey:
Been doing my makeup like this a lot recently.
Please ignore the nasty pink in my eye, I have allergies :(

Of course, obligatory instagram post with my new Hello Kitty glasses:

Somehow, the instagram photos will always look better to me ( ̄□ ̄;)

That's all for now! Also I'd like to announce that I'm having a little trouble with Disqus, so if I don't reply to your comments I'm really really sorry. They show up on my blogger (dashboard > comments) but I can't see them on the actual Disqus module. I've messaged the support team about it and I'm just waiting for them to get back to me. Thank you so much for your comments, every single one is appreciated!

One last thing, please don't forget to check out the poll at the top of my page! It will really help me keep this blog updated more frequently. I have to admit, half the time I don't update because I feel like I have 0 interesting content lol (my life is so boring QQ)

Anyways, thanks again for visiting! Now for me to catch up on some much needed video game time~ Bye

Guild Wars 2 Beta Week, Night Market & Changes!

Hello again! I know it's been a while since my last post (like always), but I've been wrapped up in exams and the Guild Wars 2 Beta Weekend. I was going to make a whole post about my beta experience but I think that would just end up being a bit of a rant/ramble kind of thing so I'll spare you the excruciating details (unless you know, that's your thing then let me know and we can totally go on and on about it forever)

The local night markets (that's right, plural!) opened up not long ago, so yesterday my friends, boyfriend and I decided to go check it out. Unfortunately the weather has been sort of on the cloudy/rainy/disgusting side lately so a lot of the stands were not open (⇀‸↼‶)

The first one we went to was the Richmond Night Market and sadly, I was kind of disappointed. I expected a lot more because of all the good things I've been hearing from friends but I dunno, it seemed kind of "meh". The food was typical and the vendors were just plain boring! There weren't as many eyelash & contact lens booths as I thought there would be... actually now that I think about it, I think there were only like, 10-12 interesting booths (maybe less) open for business because of the weather.

After snaking through the food vendors like 7 times, we decided to ditch and head over to the Summer Night Market. Both the markets were pretty much the same but because it was so close to closing time when we got there, the food at the SNM was a lot cheaper. I think there were arguably more food stands open. However by the time we were done stuffing ourselves most of the few open vendors were closed.

I did manage to pick up some cute Rilakkuma slippers (from SNM) and some Hello Kitty frames (from RNM) for a pretty reasonable price before I called it quits for the night! Here are some snaps:

My boyfriend tried to get the
giant takoyaki, but apparently that
would take 30-40 minutes to make o__O
Really yummy yam fries!
Hunny's takoyaki~
Look how gross the weather was
Look at these pretty trees!

I thought this sign was so cute *u*
My gets for the night!

You may have also noticed a slight change to my blog today. If not, go ahead and find a little surprise under the header image! I've decided to add a few pages to this blog to get things a little more organized (also to prevent me from cluttering the sidebar QQ) Please let me know if you'd like to see anything specific given its own page~ That's all for this post! I'll leave you with a quick FOTD I snapped earlier this week, sporting the Wet 'n Wild polish in "On a Trip". See you later!

*was too lazy to wear lower lashes .__.

★✧★ OOTD/FOTD #2 ★✧★

Rawr~! Hello lovelies. Today I went to my cousin's farewell dinner because she's leaving tomorrow. She's moving away to pursue work so we won't be seeing her for a while( ;´Д`)Even though I didn't really hang out with her a lot, I'll still miss her because she's always been really sweet and nice to me ;___;

Outfit for the night
Makeup
I usually dread family dinners because everyone makes fun of me /QQ. They think my makeup/clothes are too bizarre and they always tease me. I try not to let it bother me but honestly, it's none of their business if I like to dress, look and carry myself this way. I'm enjoying my own life and style,who are you to judge me for being anything other than myself ( ̄д ̄ )

Whatever, I guess it's just the generation gap between us. They don't understand the ideas of individualism or creativity. Sorry for the short little rant there.

Here's a little snap of what we had for dinner:

The rice in the picture above was really yummy. It was seafood and crab fried rice. I didn't take a picture of the other food, mostly because I ate very little and they were all pretty standard Chinese dishes like sweet and sour pork. I'm sure everyone's seen those things a million times in menus/restaurants. Besides, I thought the rice was the most unique dish and honestly, most beautifully arranged.

We ordered a whole round of cokes and to my surprise they came in glass bottles! I love coke out of the glass bottles!!

I also have a few other outfits I wore earlier this week~
Dress and shoes are DreamV, cardigan is off-brand
Dress and boots are Liz Lisa replicas from my HK trip!
That's all for this post! I also received my second package from Asia wholesale fashion but I'm not sure if I should make a post on it since it was quite small (2 hoodies, 2 dresses, and 2 stick-on bras). Let me know in the comments if you're interested in a full post of my mini haul! If no one really cares I'll just do ootd posts with them instead of making a full post (^ω^*)

Thank you for reading! Bye bye~
